Attacking bird!

There's this chaffinch in our garden which flaps infront of the window. We found out that it was trying to scare away it's reflection! Crazy!

Today (28.11.10)

Today I went to Fowlmere, an RSPB nature reserve. Last night it had been snowing so it was BEAUTIFUL! We went to this hide and instead of water, there was a beautiful frozen pond. It was covered in snow! Unfortunately, we didn'nt see any birds on the ice. We did see 3 moorhen, 3 ducklings, 8 ducks, 1 wren and 1 reed warbler in another hide. When we were walking back to the car, we saw 2 deer prancing across a field! We also saw a HUGE heron by the water cress beds. At the car park we saw a bird of prey and it flew right over our heads! (I think it was a hobby) While we were doing that, my brother was at a laser gun party. Boring! This was MUCH funner!

RSPB (the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds)

One of the best things about birds is the RSPB. You can become a member and go to the RSPB nature reserves. You get in free if you're a member!  If you join you get sent magazines and a welcome pack. I'm a member! It's GREAT!!!
